Thanks to my friendship and acquaintance with Maria Theron, this group exhibition took place.
For many years I was in Cape Town, but the relationship with the galleries was complicated.
It’s hard to find a match in an unfamiliar community.
When I was engaged in the gallery business in Ukraine, I was pleased to get acquainted with the art of artists from other countries. It was interesting for me to open new names for my clients. Here, everything happened the other way around. Closure and very often snobbery was the basis of the relationship to a non-local artist. Therefore, an invitation to take part in an exhibition in Pretoria was a very pleasant event for me. The exhibition featured the works of Maria Theron, Mart Leeuwner and mine.
Благодаря моей дружбе и знакомству с Марией Терон состоялась эта групповая выставка.
Уже много лет я находилась в Кейптауне, но отношения с галереями были сложными. Трудно найти мество в незнакомом сообществе. Когда я занималась галерейным бизнесом в Украине, я с удовольствием знакомилась с искусством художников из других стран.
Мне было интересно открывать своим клиентам новые имена.
Здесь же все происходило наоборот. Замкнутость и очень часто снобизм был основой отношения к не местному художнику.
Поэтому, приглашение принять участие в выставке в Претории, было для меня очень приятным событием. В экспозиции были представлены работы Марии Терон, Март Леевнер и мои.
