Today my post is dedicated to Ukrainian men and this is how it relates to the news from the village of Akrunta in Cyprus.

Those who have been with me all the time since the beginning of my stories and my close friends know that Radu and I lived a long period of time in South Africa and we had the opportunity to look at our Ukraine from the outside.

Returning home already at the airport, as an artist and physiognomist, I noticed that our men were crushed. All the men who were waiting to board the flight to Ukraine were short and bald – shaved bald and in flashy branded T-shirts. Later, already on the streets of Odessa, I noticed the same thing. And I hotly decided that our family is getting smaller. Now I understand that those whom I saw were young men who broke into the ranks of the so-called business.

The war came and suddenly, out of nowhere, wonderful courageous people appeared who stood up to defend our country. How painful it is to see every day that our warriors are dying, and our gene pool is leaving with them.

And now to the topic of news. I finished my new work from the military series this week. The picture is dedicated to the courage of Ukrainian soldiers, represented by the commander of the Azov regiment, Denis Prokopenko.

I do not know Denis personally and did not have the opportunity to invite him to pose for me. I used what I found on the internet. I was not at war and did not see the power of our armed forces, but I personally know Irina Rybakova, a war correspondent, and with her permission I used a photo to create a picture.

This work is already 5 of the military series, three of them took part in the Days of Ukrainian Art in Bruges, Belgium and are currently being prepared to be presented at an exhibition in Paris. Two new works “Bird” and “Invincible” are still living here in Akrunta and waiting in the wings. These works are my contribution to our struggle and I am ready for any proposals for their work for the VICTORY!
