Gallery “Na Uyutnoy” and the Musical Comedy Theatre.
The gallery’s location in the cozy Otrada district did not encourage active visits, and we had to literally “stand on our ears” to attract the public. Thus, I came up with the idea of becoming closer friends with the Musical Comedy Theatre. And already in the summer of 1992, we began to actively cooperate with them. We were allowed to make an exhibition in the foyer of the theater before the start of the performances, there we could also hand out our modest advertising – small and very simple booklets with the address and phone number of the gallery. The work was titanic since the exposition could hang for only a few hours, and then everything had to be dismantled and taken to the gallery.
Many people think that the work of a gallery owner is something that does not constitute much difficulty, but this is not true. Everything is very difficult, and the most disgusting thing in all this is the attitude of the artists. By taking this path, you condemn yourself to the hatred and envy of your fellow men. Remembering our heroic actions to promote the artist Tatyana Popovichenko at the Musical Comedy Theatre, and how she simply forgot to thank us, it still makes me very sad. She wasn’t the only one who did this, many artists of that time believed that everyone owed them something and if you tried and did something for them, it was only to earn money from them. It was difficult to work, pay rent, organize vernissages, and the press, all this cost money and it was necessary to earn money somehow.

Розташування галереї в затишному райончику Відради не дуже мало активного її відвідування і нам доводилося буквально “ставати на вуха” щоб залучити публіку. Таким чином мені прийшла ідея потоваришувати з театром Музичної Комедії ближче. І вже влітку 1992 року ми почали з ними активно співпрацювати. Нам була надана можливість перед початком вистав робити виставку у фойє театру, там так само ми могли роздавати свою скромну рекламу – маленькі і дуже простенькі буклети з адресою та телефоном галереї. Праця була титанічною, оскільки експозиція могла висіти лише кілька годин, потім все потрібно було розбирати і відносити до галереї.
Багатьом здається, що праця галериста – це щось таке, що не складає особливих труднощів, але це неправильно. Все дуже непросто, а найогидніше у цьому, це ставлення художників. Ставши на цей шлях, ти прирікаєш себе на ненависть і заздрість побратимів. Згадуючи, наші героїчні дії з просування художника Тетяни Поповиченко, в театрі Музкомедії, і те, як вона забувала просто подякувати, досі стає дуже сумно. Так чинила не тільки вона, багато художників того часу вважали, що їм усі винні і якщо ти для них стараєшся і щось робиш, то це тільки для того, щоб на них заробити.
Працювати було складно, оплата оренди, влаштування вернісажів, преса, все це коштувало грошей і на це було необхідно якось заробляти.
