This week, despite the doctors’ orders, who did not recommend me not to paint, I worked. I have wanted to paint our flowerbed for a long time. It is, of course, extraordinary. There are no flowers that are typical for flower beds, Radu planted alloe and three-lane sansevieria from a flowerpot that we got from the previous tenants, that’s the complicated name of this plant. And we also picked an edible Carpobrotus on the beach! We know it from Cape Town, this plant blooms and it is not afraid of the Cyprus heat. And Radu organized the flower bed around a plant called Elephant’s foot, and I already told you about it.
In the spring, nature wakes up and everything is filled with moisture. But this period is very short, probably only a month or a month and a half, and then everything withers.
I really, really like the variety of textures of the silvery bark of the elephant tree, blue alloe, plump carpobrotus filled with moisture and graphically exquisite sansevieria in our flower bed! It’s so delicious that I have long planned to paint this beauty. And now, I have almost finished it, and I can present it to your attention!

Цього тижня, незважаючи на припис лікарів, корори не рекомендували мені не займатися живописом, я працювала. Мені дуже давно хотілося написати нашу клумбу. Вона, звичайно ж, незвичайна. На ній немає звичайних для клумб квітів, на ній Раду висадив з вазону, який нам дістався від колишніх мешканців алоє та трисмугову сансевієрію, так складно називається ця рослина. Та ще на пляжі ми зірвали Карпобротус їстівний! Його ми знаємо по Кейптауну, ця рослина цвіте і їй не страшна Кіпрська спека. А клумбу Раду організував навколо рослини під назвою Слонова нога, і я вам про неї вже розповідала.
Навесні природа прокидається і все наливається вологою. Але цей період зовсім коротенький, всього напевно місяць чи півтора, а потім все жухне.
Мені на нашій клумбі дуже, дуже подобається різноманітність фактур сріблястої кори слонового дерева, блакитних алоє, налитих вологою жирненьких карпобротусів і графічно вишуканих сансевієрій! Це так смачно, що я давно планувала написати цю красу. І ось, я її практично завершила, і можу уявити вашій увазі!
