Its inflorescences are large, bright, literally covering the crown. In fact, their color can be the most diverse depending on the variety, but on the island the variegated lilac (variegata) with pale purple petals is most often found.
When it flowers, the orchid tree forms pods, inside which you can find seeds that look like beans. An interesting feature of the bauginia is that it blooms for quite a long time: each individual bud is short-lived, but it is replaced by “brothers”, so sometimes it may seem that the flowering phase lasts almost continuously for several months. And, of course, makes bauginia one of the most charming natural decorations of Cyprus.

Під час цвітіння орхідея утворює стручки, всередині яких можна знайти насіння, схоже на боби. Цікавою особливістю баугінії є те, що вона цвіте досить довго: кожен окремий бутон живе недовго, але на зміну йому приходять «побратими», тому іноді може здатися, що фаза цвітіння триває майже безперервно кілька місяців. І, звичайно ж, робить баугінію одним з найчарівніших природних прикрас Кіпру.
