Tatiana Yablonskaya and Hayane Atayan painting exhibition
Tatyana Nilovna Yablonskaya (February 11 (24), 1917 – June 17, 2005) – Soviet and Ukrainian artist, People’s Artist of the USSR (1982), winner of two Stalin Prizes of the second degree (1950, 1951), State Prize of the USSR (1979) and the National Prize for them. T. Shevchenko (1998), Hero of Ukraine (2001)
Tatyana Yablonskaya’s paintings in the halls of the Maritime Gallery have repeatedly enhanced the atmosphere of high spirituality. Visitors to the gallery, who were lucky enough to visit the last exhibition, felt this unusual phenomenon with all their hearts.
Many, having visited once, came back and came back many times, brought friends and acquaintances. Therefore, we decided not to repeat it, but to return this state to the gallery and make a great gift to all those who understand this, those who receive the spiritual pleasure that Tatyana Nilovna’s works give.
Recently, I was in the studio of one artist, who, pointing towards the window, said: “But this is my icon, a window to the garden.”
So now looking at the artworks of Yablonskaya, which belong to the late period of her work, I want to call them icons, icons in the natural world. Icons reflecting the cyclical nature of life, the change of time, the arrival of the concept of the highest meaning of life.
The artworks of Tatyana Nilovna speak about all this. Visual art is one of the most material forms of art, paintings, sculptures that have their own lives.
Music, poems have life only at the moment of sounding. Pictures, a product of spiritual consumption, live as long as they are looked at.
They can be hidden and not shown to anyone, and then only the owner can admire them. But does that make sense?
