This work I created in Melbourne during my Art Residence in Redbabble. I did not have enough palettes of colors that were sold in stores and I decided instead of the usual oil painting, try to paint with watercolor on canvas. This gave me the opportunity to achieve the color of real purple irises.

Много размышляя о судьбах африканцев, которые к несчастью были экспортированы со своего родного континента и претерпели много издевательств, я думала, что тогда их проблемой была их особенность- их цвет кожи. Мне пришла в голову идея попробовать работать с африканскими моделями, но стараться писать их белокожыми. Тут и произошло настоящее чудо! У меня стали получаться АНГЕЛЫ. Эта работа- первая из серии и я ее очень люблю и не очень хочу продавать, так как на ней портрет моего Ангела!!!

Летом все выгорает- а весной природа отворяет настоящий калейдоскоп цвета- белые цветы сменяются желтыми, затем оранжевыми, затем цветами цвета фуксии, от которых зашкаливает камера. Но самый прекрасный из видов это- протеи!!

Ivan Marchuk is one of the brightest representatives of the group of Ukrainian artists who had the bravery to openly oppose social realism, the official art style of the Soviet Union forced onto artists by the government.
Marchuk’s development as an artist has been long and is still ongoing. Станислав Сычев 1937- 2003
В 1960 году закончил Одесское художественное училище им. Грекова (педагог Фрумина, Дина Михайловна).
В 1961—1963 годах жил и работал в Узбекистане.
Многие критики считают, что организованная 8 мая1967 года у «Заборная выставка» молодых художников Станислава Сычёва и Валентина Хруща «Сычик+Хрущик» на заборе одесского Оперного театра стала точкой отсчёта «одесского нонконформизма»[2]. Эта выставка продолжалась всего три часа[2].
В 1970-х принимал участие в неофициальных выставках в Одессе и Москве. В 1989 году участвовал в международной выставке «Импреза» в Ивано-Франковске. В 1989 и 1994 годах прошли его персональные выставки в Одесском музее западного и восточного искусства[3].
