The Queen of Sheba was all over the place an extraordinary woman if the legends about her are mentioned in many religions. I will not tell you all these references, I will only share a story in the Koran, where she was called Bilkis.
According to the Muslim version, Solomon learns from the bird hud-hud (hoopoe) about the existence of the queen Bilkis, the ruler of the fabulously rich country of Saba, who sits on a throne of gold, adorned with precious stones, and worships the sun.
He writes her a letter with the words: “From the servant of God, Solomon, the son of David, to Balkis, the Queen of Sheba. In the Name of the All-Merciful God. Peace be with him who follows the path of truth. Do not rebel against me, but come and surrender to me. “
The letter is conveyed to the queen by the same bird that told Solomon about her kingdom.
Having received the letter, Balkis was afraid of such a message and a possible war with Solomon and sent him rich gifts, which he rejected, saying that he would send troops, capture her cities and drive out their inhabitants in disgrace. After that, Balkis decided to come to Solomon herself, thus expressing her humility.
Before leaving, she locked her precious throne in the fortress, but Solomon, the lord of the jinn, with their help brought it to Jerusalem and, changing its appearance, showed the queen with the question: “Does this look like your throne?” Balkis was able to recognize him and was invited to a palace built by Solomon especially for her.
The floor in it was made of glass, under which fish were swimming in the water.
Balkis, entering the palace, was frightened and, deciding that she would have to walk on the water, lifted the hem of her dress, exposing her shins. Then she said:
“Lord! Indeed, I have done harm to myself, but now, together with Sulaiman, I surrender to Allah, the Lord of the inhabitants of the worlds “
Thus, she recognized the omnipotence of Suleiman and his God and accepted the true faith.
Commentators of the Koran interpret the episode with the transparent floor in Solomon’s palace as a trick of the king, who wanted to test the rumour that Balkis’s legs are covered with hair like a donkey’s.
They cite the version that the whole body of Balkis was covered with hair, and the legs had donkey hooves – which testified to her demonic nature, thus exposed by the king.

Царица Савская по всему была необыкновенной женщиной, если сказания о ней упоминаются многими религиями. Я не буду все эти упоминания рассказывать вам, только поделюсь историей в Коране, где ее называли Билкис.
Согласно мусульманской версии, Соломон узнаёт от птицы худ-худ (удода), о существовании царицы Билкис — правительницы сказочно богатой страны Саба, восседающей на троне из золота, украшенном драгоценными камнями, и поклоняющейся солнцу.
Он пишет ей письмо со словами: «От слуги Бога, Соломона, сына Давида, к Балкис, Царице Шебы. Во Имя Бога всемилостивого. Мир да пребудет с тем, кто следует по пути истины. Не восставайте на меня, но придите и предайтесь мне».
Письмо передаёт царице та же птица, что рассказала Соломону о её царстве.
Получив письмо, Балкис испугалась такого послания и возможной войны с Соломоном и послала ему богатые дары, которые он отверг, сказав что пошлёт войска, захватит её города и выгонит их жителей с позором. После этого Билкис решила сама приехать к Соломону, выразив этим свою покорность.
Перед отъездом она заперла свой драгоценный трон в крепости, но Соломон, повелитель джиннов, с их помощью перенёс его в Иерусалим и, изменив его внешний вид, показал царице с вопросом: «Так ли выглядит трон твой?». Билкис смогла узнать его, и была приглашена во дворец, построенный Соломоном специально для неё.
Пол в нём был сделан из стекла, под которым в воде плавали рыбы.
Билкис, войдя во дворец, испугалась и, решив, что ей надо будет идти по воде, подняла подол своего платья, оголив голени. После этого она произнесла:
«Господи! Воистину, я нанесла урон самой себе, ныне же вместе с Сулайманом предаюсь Аллаху, Господу обитателей миров»
Таким образом она признала всемогущество Сулеймана и его Бога, и приняла истинную веру.
Комментаторы Корана трактуют эпизод с прозрачным полом во дворце Соломона, как уловку царя, желавшего проверить слух о том, что ноги Балкис покрыты шерстью, как у осла.
Они приводят версию, что всё тело Билкис было покрыто шерстью, а ноги имели ослиные копыта — что свидетельствовало о её демонической природе таким образом разоблачённой царём.
