Century City. Winter.
Children in South Africa don’t know what real winter is.
It gets cold in Cape Town during the winter months, but not outside, but in homes without heating.
I like the way people dress in cold weather – a warm jacket or sweater on top, and below shorts and on the legs – flip flops.
Children go barefoot all year round, even in winter.
All kinds of entertainment are organized for children on Christmas days, these are theatrical performances and parties.
And this year in the area of Century City they made a real winter.
In a huge hangar, they built the scenery with slides and ice rinks, lowered the temperature to 10 degrees below zero, and of course we went there so that our children could feel what winter is.
I remember how today, tiny Charlotte looked at her hands with great surprise, not understanding what was happening, she did not experience such sensations!

Дети в Южной Африки не знают что такое настоящая зима. В зимние месяцы в Кейптауне становится холодно, но не на улице, а в домах, где отсутствует отопление. Мне нравится, то как люди одеваются в холода- теплая куртка или свитер сверху, а ниже шорты и на ногах- вьетнамки. Дети ходят босыми весь год, даже зимой.
Для детей в Рождественские дни организуют всякие развлечения, это театральные спектакли и вечеринки. А в этом году в районе Сенчири Сити сделали настоящую зиму. В огромном ангаре выстроили декорации горками и катками, опустили температуру до 10 градусов мороза и мы конечно же пошли туда, для того, чтобы наши дети ощутили, что же такое зима. Я помню, как сегодня, малюсенькая Шарлот с огромным удивлением рассматривала свои ручки, не понимая того, что же происходит, она не испытывала подобных ощущений!
