Friday. News from emigration. Limassol.
This week I felt the full weight of my age. The severity of the consciousness that age is not a stupid joke, it’s all very serious. Lots of loss news this week. Loss of loved ones and friends. It hurts a lot, but I understand that it is inevitable. And no matter where you are at home or in exile, the news is that the birds find you everywhere.
On my FB page, I wrote about the passing of the wonderful people I was lucky to meet in my life. This is Valery Ivanovich and Elena Dmitrievna Shcherbina. They did not leave now, but I learned about their death this week.
My classmates are passing away, Zhenya Sokolsky and Kolya Ordyan are no longer with us – what an unbearable sadness. And the friend of my youth, Edik Voloshin, has died.
None of those who left were victims of the war, but thinking about all of them, I understand that they have already felt better and they will not have to worry about the fate of our country.
And we are still here.
But, in addition to sad news, there is also pleasant, if I may say so.
Yesterday I finished a new painting dedicated to my Ukrainian land, its wonderful fields.
My Zebras from Akrounta finally reached their buyer in Kenya – it was very interesting to watch them fly from Cyprus, to Italy, then to England and then to Africa.
I also received a letter from the organizers of the exhibition in London, which presents my work “Blue Dream”. The exhibition has been running for more than 1 year and will end in July 2023. And it is quite possible that it will be extended or the work will be bought.
All this will be known in July!

Цього тижня я відчула весь тягар свого віку. Тяжкість свідомості, що вік – це не дурний жарт, це все дуже серйозно. Цього тижня багато новин про втрати. Втрати близьких і знайомих людей. Дуже боляче, але я розумію, що це неминуче. І неважливо, де ти знаходишся вдома або в еміграції, вести як птахи знаходять тебе всюди.
На своїй сторінці у ФБ я написала про звільнення чудових людей, з якими мені пощастило зустрітися в моєму житті. Це Валерій Іванович та Олена Дмитрівна Щербина. Вони пішли не зараз, але про їхню смерть я дізналася саме цього тижня.
Йдуть із життя мої однокласники, з нами не стало Жені Сокольського і Колі Ордяна – яка нестерпна смуток. І ще не стало друга моєї юності Едіка Волошина.
Ніхто з тих, хто пішов, не були жертвами війни, але думаючи про них усіх, я розумію, що їм уже стало легше і їм не доведеться турбуватися про долю нашої країни.
А ми ще тут.
Але, крім сумних новин, є ще й приємні, якщо можна так сказати.
Вчора я закінчила нову картину присвячену моїй українській землі, її чудовим полям.
Мої Зебри з Акрунти, нарешті, досягли свого покупця в Кенії – було дуже цікаво спостерігати за їх польотом з Кіпру, на Італію, потім Англію і вже за цим в Африку.
Ще я отримала листа від організаторів виставки в Лондоні, на якій представляється моя робота «Блакитна мрія» Виставка проходить вже понад 1 рік і завершиться в липні 2023 року. Все це буде відомо у липні!
