Friday News. Last week. Limassol.
All last week Radu and I spent in Akrounta. Silvia and Kostya went to Italy to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary. We stayed with the kids.
And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy. I, like any other Ukrainian grandmother, am obsessed with feeding children, often failed. It was difficult to guess preferences. Everyone has their own tastes, and cooking three times a day for four different dishes was not realistic. But I took a break from my painting sessions.
Another major topic of the past week is the shipment of my painting “Prayer” to the USA.
You probably remember that after October last year, three of my military works, which were presented at the exhibition in Bruges, remained in the Ukrainian Cultural Center for further expositions.
And from the Saatchi Gallery came the good news about the sale of “Prayer”. Naturally, I began to contact Svitlana Lebida, the organizer of the exhibition in Bruges. As it turned out, Svitlana at that time was in Kyiv with her son and was not going to return in the near future. It was decided to make a request to her friend Tetyana Ignatenko, who lives in Oostende to help me.
And this is a separate issue. While still in Belgium, I realized that I was very lucky to meet such wonderful people as Svitlana and Tetiana. Svitlana gives her whole soul in the promotion of Ukrainian art in Belgium, and Tetyana and her husband are certainly the messengers of the Lord, if there is one. Throughout the exhibition, Tetyana and her husband cooked and brought all sorts of goodies to the gallery in order to feed the artists. Later, when I became Tetiana’s Friend on FB, I saw examples of her invaluable participation in the life of the Ukrainian diaspora in Belgium.
And of course, Tatyana and her Vasily helped organize the shipment of my work to the States, and it has already safely reached Pennsylvania.

П’ятниця. Минулий тиждень. Новини Лімассола.
Весь минулий тиждень ми з Раду провели в Акрунті. Сільвія та Костя поїхали до Італії відзначати 19 річницю їхнього одруження. Ми ж лишилися з дітьми.
І скажу Вам – це було нелегко. Я, як всяка українська бабуся, схиблена на тому, щоб нагодувати дітей, часто терпіла фіаско. Вгадати переваги було складно. У кожного свої смаки, а готувати тричі на день на чотирьох різні страви було не реально. Натомість я відпочила від своїх малярських занять.
Ще одна головна тема минулого тижня – це відправлення моєї картини “Молитва” до США.
Ви напевно пам’ятаєте, що після жовтня минулого року три мої військові роботи, які були представлені на виставці у Брюгзі, залишилися в Українському культурному центрі для подальших експозицій. І ось від СААЧИ галереї прийшла втішна звістка про продаж «Молитви».
Природно я почала зв’язуватися зі Світланою Лебiдою, влаштувальницею виставки в Брюгге.
Як виявилось, Світлана в цей час перебувала у Києві у свого сина і найближчим часом не збиралася повертатися. Було вирішено звернутися з проханням до її подруги Тетяни Ігнатенко, яка мешкає в Оостенді.
І це окрема тема. Ще в Бельгії я зрозуміла, що мені дуже пощастило зустріти таких чудових людей, як Світлана та Тетяна.
Світлана віддає всю свою душу у просуванні українського мистецтва в Бельгії, а Тетяна та її чоловік, безумовно, посланці бога, якщо такої є. Протягом усієї виставки Тетяна та її чоловік готували та привозили до галереї всякі смаколики, для того, щоб годувати художників. Пізніше я стала другом Тетяни на ФБ, побачила приклади її безцінної участі у житті української діаспори у Бельгії.
І звичайно ж Тетяна та її Василь допомогли організувати відправку моєї роботи до Штатів і вона вже благополучно дісталася Пенсільванії. Я щиро дякую всім вам, моїм новим і дуже дорогим друзям! Слава Україні!
