“The first auction dedicated to the centenary of Izdebsky’s salon”
The last significant event in the gallery was the auction of Odessa painting, as the organizers called it, the first auction dedicated to the centenary of Izdebsky’s salons.
The auction clearly showed that there are no people in Odessa who are ready to openly buy works of art. There are individual collectors who have collected a certain number of works, and everyone has one desire – to sell them, although none of them will come to acquire them through a gallery or at an auction – everyone who has a desire will try to get them cheaper.

Одним из последних знаменательных событий в галерее стал аукцион одесской живописи, как назвали его устроители- “Первый аукцион, посвященный 100-летию салонов Издебского”.
Аукцион наглядно показал, что в Одессе нет людей готовых открыто покупать произведения искусства. Есть отдельные коллекционеры, собравшие какое-то количество работ, и у всех одно желание – их продать, хотя никто из них не придет приобретать их через галерею или на аукционе – все кто имеет желание, будут стараться хотят взять подешевле.
Но выставка сама по себе была очень интересной!
