My “Country U”series of paintings. 2017
In summer we usually go to Karolino Bugaz. We don’t have our own dacha. We always joke about this topic, saying that we have passed our dacha, that is, we have lost the opportunity to have it due to countless flights to South Africa.
The dacha belongs to the relatives of Sylvia’s husband and from time to time we have the happy opportunity to visit it.
I love Karolino Bugaz and at the same time my heart is breaking with pain because of the stupid and thoughtless development of the precious coast. No one in our country appreciates the wealth that Ukraine has. I hope that when the war ends, people’s attitude will change.
The dacha where we are staying is located in close proximity to the railway and at night you can hear the trains passing by. Life in the country is measured and beautiful, and the children remind me of little elves, and it was they who inspired me to create a new series of works called “ Uland”
Why – “Uland”? I, like many Ukrainians, whose life and interpretations about Ukraine introduced by Russian imperial nonsense, have always been at a loss about the name and history of our great country. The word kraina- in Ukrainian language means country. It turns out that our country is called – COUNTRY-U. So I came up with such a country for myself and populated it with my beautiful elves.
The vegetation in the dacha contributed to my fantasies. In summer, everything is overgrown with unusual plants, fruits and berries ripen, everything resembles a magical world in which miracles happen.
Paintings from this series are now in Odesa in the Musa Gallery, if anyone is interested and they can be purchased for little money, and I ordered to transfer the funds to our wonderful Monster Corporation
«Країна У»
Влітку ми зазвичай їздимо на Кароліно Бугаз. Своєї дачі у нас немає і не було. Ми завжди жартуємо на цю тему, кажучи, що ми свою дачу проїздили, тобто втратили можливість її мати через незліченні польоти до Південної Африки.
Дача належить родичам чоловіка Сільвії і ми іноді маємо щасливу можливість там побувати.
Я обожнюю Кароліно Бугаз і при цьому моє серце розривається від болю через безглузду і необдуману забудову дорогоцінного узбережжя. Ніхто в нашій країні не цінує те багатство, яке має Україна. Сподіваюся, що коли закінчиться війна, у людей зміниться ставлення.
Дача на якій ми зупиняємося знаходиться близько від залізниці і ночами там чутно як проходять поїзди. Життя на дачі розмірене і чудове, а діти нагадують мені маленьких ельфів і саме вони надихнули мене на створення нової серії робіт під назвою «Країна У»
Чому – «Країна У»? Я, як і багато українців, чиє життя і впроваджене російським імперським маренням тлумачення про Україну, завжди перебувало здивування про назву та історію нашої великої країни. Слово країни-українською мовою означає країна. Виходить, що наша країна зветься – КРАЇНА-У. Ось і придумала я собі таку країну і населила її моїми прекрасними ельфами.
Рослинність на дачі сприяла моїм фантазіям. Влітку все заростає незвичайними рослинами, дозрівають фрукти та ягоди, все нагадує чарівний світ, у якому відбуваються дива.
Роботи з цієї серії залишилися зараз в Одесі в галереї Муза, якщо комусь це цікаво і їх можна придбати за невеликі гроші, а кошти я розпорядилася передати до нашої чудової Корпорації Монстрів.
