Our Georgy spends a lot of time with us at Genuezskaya and we are very happy about it. He is a wonderful boy, kind, intelligent, a little shy and now that we are not living at home, he still makes us happy with his presence.
Today he is already 8 years old and he has become my Greek teacher in Cyprus in our immigration. George was the first of all our children in Cyprus to go to school, a regular Cypriot school with instruction in Greek.
In the first months, he confessed to me, “Tanya, I sit in class and don’t understand anything at all.” I calmed him down, told him that he should be patient a little and everything would fall into place. I told him that very soon he would be our Greek teacher, and so it happened!
We often remember Odessa, our apartment, Georgy says that it is much better than where we live now. But this is not the main thing, the main thing is that our children are safe, and we can and should endure and rejoice in the fact that our family is safe.

Наш Георгій проводить у нас на Генуезькій багато часу і ми цьому дуже раді. Він прекрасний хлопчик, добрий, розумний, трохи сором’язливий і тепер коли ми не живемо у себе вдома, він, як і раніше, тішить нас своєю присутністю.
Сьогодні йому вже 8 років і він став на Кіпрі у нашій імміграції моїм учителем грецької мови. Георгій першим з усіх наших дітей на Кіпрі пішов до школи, звичайної кіпрської школи з навчанням грецькою мовою.
Перші місяці, він мені зізнавався-«Таня-я сиджу на уроках і взагалі нічого не розумію». Я його заспокоювала, казала, що він повинен трохи потерпіти і все стане на свої місця. Я йому говорила про те, що дуже скоро він буде нашим вчителем грецької, так і вийшло!
Ми часто згадуємо Одесу, нашу квартиру, Георгій говорить про те, що вона набагато краща, ніж та, де ми живемо зараз. Але це не головне, головне те, що діти у безпеці, а ми можемо і повинні терпіти і радіти з того, що наша сім’я у безпеці.
