Traveler Painting!

Traveler painting.

Last summer I had an unexpected commission to paint a Swiss landscape. Clients sent photos and I did the job for them.
There was a referral. Usually my works are purchased through Art Platforms and it is they who organize the shipment through the DCL company. I invited clients to contact the company, but they failed. Then I decided to use our Ukrainian Post. I made an export permit in the expert commission, bought a package and sent it. I had a number by which I tracked the movement, of course, I did not count on urgency. Time passed and the parcel reached Switzerland and I began to wait for the reaction of buyers. But she was not and was not.
I decided to take another look at the tracking and found that it had been sent back. After waiting for the return, I tried to find out the reason for what happened. Nobody explained anything to me. Of course, I also paid the cost of the return. My daughter Rada advised me to contact UkrPoshta and demand an explanation and a refund for the paid but not completed work.
A lot of time passed, but in the end the money was returned, but the painting was in Odessa.
Rada’s friend was traveling to Cape Town for the New Year and we decided to send the painting with her. So she arrived in Cape Town, but only now, a friend of Rada, the son of clients, flew from Cape Town to Switzerland and the painting finally arrived at its destination. You probably remember the fairy tale about the traveler frog, and I told you the story about the traveler’s painting!

    Hey Tatyana.
I just saw your video on the Investec Art Fair in Cape Town and wonder if you have written a text about the collection . Or else know about other texts. I am writing on the intersection between cosmopolitan aesthetics and Eurocentrism in art and would like to see some textual commentaries to the fair in Cape Town. I recognized some pictures in the video that displaced artworks from European tradition (Picasso ? Monet?) by rendering them black the painting “Bathing Girls”?) .. I am glad for any response. .

Hello, dear Dag!Thanks for your response. I did not write a review of the Art Fair. This time I was much more interested in the beautiful audience. I have not experienced such pleasure from the celebration of ARTS that took place during Fair for a long time. I myself am an artist with many years of experience, and since 2019 I stopped holding and taking part in exhibitions because I was convinced that no one needed it. I work with Online Platforms, work on my website and FB profile, and every day a huge number of visitors come to me – incomparable to how many live people you can see at the exhibition. And besides, people don’t come to ordinary exhibitions to enjoy art and buy a painting, but simply to eat and drink.
So the Cape Town Art Fair struck me precisely with its ambience. I am not an Art critic and am not very familiar with African artists, although I know many and follow their work! Thank you for attention! Let’s be friends! https://www.facebook.com/TatyanaBinovska
