“In Odessa there are these car repair workshops of Baron Ungern-Sternberg, the Krayan plant.
For several years now they have been sawing them, breaking them and wanting to sell them, but at too high a price.
And if they were given into private hands, it would turn out to be a wonderful modern space for the art and IT industry. From coworking spaces to galleries and residential lofts.
In fact, I think there are many people interested in preserving this architectural monument. maybe the volunteer movement will grow from military to heritage preservation, and the development of modern urban art based on what already exists.
This is one hell of a beautiful frame.
Friends, try to spread the word, maybe something will grow from this idea.”
Unfortunately, nothing came of this
May 2023:
The investigation accuses the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov and others of misappropriating more than 92 million UAH of the budget as a result of a scheme to acquire the administrative building of the former Krayan plant into municipal ownership at a twice inflated price.
Since October 2018, this case has been heard in the Malinovsky District Court of Odessa. In July 2019, the court announced an acquittal for Trukhanov and other defendants.
SAP filed an appeal, and on February 11, 2021, the Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Court overturned the acquittal and sent the case for consideration to the Supreme Court.
On September 10, 2024, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VACC) began examining the case against Odessky “Krayan”, to which honorable lord Gennady Trukhanov. At the court hearing, the SAPO prosecutor announced a short statement of the indictment.”

«Є в Одесі такі вагоноремонтні майстерні барона Унгерна-Штернберга, завод Краян.
Вже кілька років їх пилять ламають і хочуть продати, але надто дорого.
І якби їх віддали в приватні руки, тут вийшов би чудовий сучасний простір для арт і it індустрії. Починаючи від коворкінгу, закінчуючи галереями та житловими лофтами.
Насправді я думаю, є безліч людей зацікавлених у збереженні цього пам’ятника архітектори. можливо волонтерський рух переросте з військового на збереження спадщини, і розбудови сучасного урбан мистецтва на основі того, що вже є.
Це дуже красивий каркас.
Друзі спробуйте поширити, може з цієї ідеї щось виростить.
На жаль, з цього так і нічого не вийшло
Травень 2023 року:
Слідство звинувачує мера Одеси Геннадія Труханова та інших у заволодінні понад 92 млн грн бюджету внаслідок схеми придбання у комунальну власність приміщення адмінкорпусу колишнього заводу «Краян» за вдвічі завищеною ціною.
З жовтня 2018 року ця справа розглядалася у Малинівському районному суді міста Одеса. У липні 2019 року суд оголосив виправдувальний вирок Труханову та іншим обвинуваченим.
САП подала апеляційну скаргу, а 11 лютого 2021 року Апеляційна палата ВАКС скасувала виправдувальний вирок та направила справи на розгляд до Вищого.
10 січня 2024 року, Вищий антикорупційний суд (ВАКС) розпочав розгляд справи щодо одеського “Краяну”, до якої причетний міський голова Геннадій Труханов. У судовому засіданні прокурор САП оголосила короткий виклад обвинувачувального акту.»
